Alot of times, especially when we have someone we care about, we will tell them "I love you". How often, do you tell someone you love them on a daily basis? I tell my wife everytime I speak with her that I love her. I do this because I truly love her with all my heart and would do anything for her! However, the point of this blog post is to discuss how often we tell God/Jesus that we love him? I think we remember to tell many people that we love them but forget to tell the Father of all fathers, the only true God that we love him on a daily basis. Try and take a moment to share your love with God and just let him know!
This post is going to be short but, I need say nothing else.

The Son is Rising
I was listening to the radio today and listening to a preacher on the radio talk about how most people believe in the philosophy of Jesus but don't follow him. Now...it got me thinking about how people view Jesus and who he actually was. Granted, as Christians we always have been taught about how He died for our sins and rose again for us to live eternally. However, we also tend to overlook that he was 100% man but also 100% God. When we feel like we aren't worthy of the redemption through the blood; remember that he made us worthy! We need to understand that, like us, Jesus wept (at Lazarus' grave, in the garden, and as He looked over Jerusalem). He also got angry, laughed, smiled, worked, hurt, and was persecuted. He was a man and by his lifestyle; we should follow.
I want you to understand that whatever you went through or however you feel, Jesus already felt it! Have you ever thought not only did Jesus die on the cross and rise again but also that he was a man, just as you and I. He is still alive, people! By this, He still offers hope to the lost and love for the broken! Be encouraged that God has not forgotten you or doesn't know how you feel because He was there and he felt that. You can turn to Him when you are in need and He will put peace in your life and help you through everything; Just rest in Him and know that His love is here for you and everyone.

The Voice
I, for one, am guilty of getting so tangled up in everyday life that I don't stop and listen to the voice of God. Granted, I have never heard an audible voice from God telling me something but a small voice inside of me that screams the truth of life. It happens that every day that we tend to forget about the voice of God that leads us down the path of rightousness and helps us in our daily walk. It is this fact that brings me to the conclusion that we need to SHUT UP AND LISTEN! We often are too busy talking and deciding what we are going to do and telling Him our plans that we don't listen to what he wants us to do.
You know, about a year ago, I was driving down the road and I saw a homeless man. He was holding a sign that said "need work, hungry" and was stand on a median where everyone could clearly see him. A small voice told me "Go give him a hug and tell him God loves him". However, being an average person as I am, I didn't and to this day have been bothered by it. I never saw that man again and wonder what ever happened to him. If I would have listened to that voice, would things have been different? Would his life have changed? I believe so! However, I can't change what I've done in the past but look forward and listen to the opportunities God has set ahead in my life.
It is time to stop and listen to what God has to say, because if you don't....Who will? God is speaking to you, it is just up to you if you listen....

A Night To Remember
Currently, My wife and I are at the hospital in Dothan. Her uncle is in the E.R. because he has bleeding on the brain. However, I believe in the healing power of God! It is by the joy of the Lord that I can sit here with depression, hurt, and sickness all around and still do nothing but glorify the name of the Lord. As we find destruction in our lives and it seems the world is falling all around us, God pulls us in and secures our fears into Life. It seems that the world keeps throwing troubles at us like Andy Roddick hitting a tennis ball straight at our face. However, God has given us the ability to push through those storms that come our way to see the light through the clouds.
"In the Beginning, God made light"! It is by this means that God has, since the beginning of time, delivered us from the dark interferences that come our way. Everything God has made is good and, therefore, the light that is on the other side of that storm we are going through is good! We let these things get in our way and try and hinder us from what God has planned for us; but by the power of the Holy Spirit we can push forward and take command of our lives!
In conclusion, it is up to us whether we let those things that stand against us control our lives or if we are going to be the people that God intends us to be and push through the storm and let it edify God in all His glory!

With Each Morning
You know, if you are like me, you wake up every morning wipe the sleepy goo out of your eyes and go straight to the shower. Mornings, you can ask my wife, are not my favorite thing! However, when I used to work at the Aquatic Center and had to be there at 4:30am, I got to see the sun rise every morning. It really makes me think back as to how I took advantage of those mornings and didn't take time to enjoy the splendor of God's artwork. It is all around us and we overlook how each person is made differently, how each tree has a different formation, or even how God gave someone the thought process to invent a 100 ton piece of metal that can float on the water. It is truly breathtaking when you stop and look around you and step outside of yourself. Once we quit looking at a person differently because they are interested in something else, looking at a tree and just seeing wood with leaves, or even a boat that is rusted on the sides because of the salt water; we will see something beautiful in its creation.
Starting tomorrow morning, I am going to begin thanking our Creator for what he has done and the genius of what he has created. I think we should all stop taking advantage of what has been given to us and start thanking Him who gave it to us.

A Day of Infamy
You know, as we walk this desert known as life, we often find ourselves lost in a swirl of chaos. It is at this moment that a person has to reevaluate their impact they have on others. Last night I was talking to the youth at my church about how as Christians we need to take a stance, charge at the enemy with all our might, and take the hill (vantage point). By this being said, I challenged the youth to say "hello" to at least one person whom they have never spoken to before. I told them to reach out and take back the grounds that have been taken from us. As Christians, we have heard long lectures about how "prayer has been taken out of the school system" and how "nativity scenes aren't allowed on public or government property". However, how many of us have done anything about it?!?! I say it is time to take back the land that has been given to us and quit being a bunch of sissy Christians! Let's stand up and be able to proclaim the Gospel without any hesitance! Let's claim who we are and not take the junk anymore that has been oppressing God's people for so long. It's time to share the love of Christ with others, people, not keep him to ourselves like a dark secret!
The whole point of this is to be able to share the love of God and not be afraid of what others will say or what the opposition may put in our way. I challenge each and every person who reads this Blog to make it a choice, nay, an obligation that they will speak to someone who they haven't before or even just tell the person who is giving you your biscuit in the morning that "God loves them". IF you have ever had an experience by speaking to someone and impacting their lives, please write me or leave a comment.
